This division is mainly concerned with the way in which resources such as Financial,Human,or Physical have been allocated and utilised by the Local Government Authorithy(LGA's).
The key role of the division to the LGA is to provide Internal Consultation, Assurance and Appraisal to the District Council.
Duties of the Division
Planning and preparation of audit programs.
To ensure proper accountability of all funds provided to LGA.
To ensure risks are reviewed,ranked as low/high, mitigation measures and policies are instituded to minimize risks for effective achievement.
Ensuring compliance with statutory requrements /Public Procurement Act,other laws ,and provision of Development Financial Agreement.
Ensuring all projects achieves value for money in all expenditures.
Preparation of audit report and findings and presented to both National Audit Office (NAO) and The Council Director to deliberate required actions to be taken for queries arised during auditing
